Hearty congratulations to ARR, Resul Pookutty and Gulzhar for bringing home the most expected Oscars. Finally, India’s really really long longing for an Oscar is realized. These Oscars were not just recognition for these three people; it means lot more for our country. It will definitely raise the hopes of every people associated with Indian Film Industry and further elicit the talent within them. Hope this will put an end to the waste-of-time masala movies. Unbelievable eight Oscar for the Slumdog millionaire is really unbelievable. vikas swarup might had never imagined this much acclaim, while writing Q&A - the source of Slumdog, nor Boyle while directing.

Apart from being a luxurious party night for celebrities, it is once in a lifetime opportunity for those kids from slums and for pinky sonkar who gave Megan Mylan the Oscar without her knowledge. Every credit goes to Boyle and Fox Searchlight (sponsors for the crew of Slumdog millionaire to Kodak theatre).

The award stage is so special because that is the place where actors can’t act while receiving the award. Examples are the emotional moments from the award receivers. Rahman’s “Yellaa pugalum Iraivanukke” and “Meri maa hein” and Resul’s “Nyaan keralathukku kondu varum Maha sivarathiri sammanamakkum” are really really heart touching phrases in their mother tongue. We must feel very proud to have them here in INDIA.

I got goose bumps for every “The Oscars goes to…” I have to say how I am feeling now; I want to go out to the streets and yell out “JAI HOOOOOOOO INDIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA” and eager to watch the film Slumdog Millionaire.
