It was an awesome speech by obama on Oath of Office event. It was one of the best speeches. I felt this same feeling before in the movie Independence Day, the speech by president for 4th July fight against aliens. He is going to be one of the most celebrated presidents of America, no doubt about it. By the speech, it is evident he can change the world, but we can only come to know whether he is a barking dog or biting dog, after sometime
I don’t understand why the people in India, especially every media, so attracted towards this event. I don’t think he can able to do any good to India. He is expected to further pull down the software market of ours by reducing America’s outsourcing. Every Channel, even local channels were broadcasting the whole event live. I hadn’t seen our Indian president’s or prime minister’s Oath in any of these channels except DD.
I can’t digest one thing; a local channel in my town recorded whole event and re-broadcasted upon request from viewers.
Ha Hah. I found another bug with the Microsoft’s Product. I was creating a custom WPF User Control with VC# 2008 and Expression Blend 2 for my project. Nothing to complain about .NET Framework 3.5, one of the master pieces of Microsoft. The problem is with the tools. At Start, the user control is working fine. Whatever I did in the User Control XAML file, the changes are perfectly effected on the Main Window (where I placed that Control) after a Build. Suddenly the routine stopped as if there is no relation between XAML file and the control. I tried to build the project both in Blend as well as VS Workspace. No problem with the compilation or execution, only that control is not updated with new corrections. I was reviewing my code again and again for errors.
After two days of frustration, I found a quick fix. Just deleted the files inside “bin” and “obj” folders (inside the project folder). I think the problem is with Application Manifest files but not sure. I am eager to find out the real problem. I will update this post if found. Please do let me know if you are aware.
I met a man on the way from Jalandar to Trichy by Train (Navyug Express). The above mentioned question or confusion is all about him. He boarded at Delhi. His seat was allotted in the compartment next to me. He normally comes to my compartment to seek help to communicate with the server and other peoples he came across because he didn’t know hindi. I too don’t know hindi but my colleague (Aarif) who was with me knows very well. Actually he was the translator. By the way, the person told the reason for being at Delhi. He is a cook, got job somewhere there. Here are the exact phrases came from him (of course translated) which is the main subject “I was working in Delhi. I cannot withstand the cold there. So I decided to come back again to India”. Hope you got the point. Now tell me what do you call it? Innocence or Illiteracy. What will you do? Laugh or Feel pathetic.
This was my experience when I am shopping in a local market, for a leather jacket at Jalandar, Punjab two days before. My plan was to buy two jackets, one for my friend (gnanam) and another for myself. I also accompanied by a local person to help in my mission. We went to a shop which is one of the oldest and finest shops in the market. I think the market name is shelwar bazaar. As informed by my companion, the shop did have fine pieces. First I choose for my friend, I took one black jacket, but the price told was 2500 bucks, which is 1000 more than my budget. I bargained. But he refused to come below 2000. After that I asked him whether “You can give two jackets for 3000 bucks”. He finally settled for hundred more than I told. And I chose another jacket of same quality. I haven’t known the tricks at that point of time. Then the two pieces were packed. When I opened the package after reaching our place, I was shocked; the second one I chose was replaced by a lower quality with the same design which also had some minor faults in it. Again we went to the same shop with haste. The shop keeper previously there was replaced by another person. We told the annals to him but he refused to accept the difference between the chosen one and the given one. So I was replaced with another jacket with the same quality. I was in guilty feeling of being deceived by a shop keeper for hours. But that was faded when I visited another shopping mall nearby. The look alike of one I chosen for me in the market is tagged as 3000 bucks with twenty percent off. Before my eyes two people brought that. Sigh of relief finally. Coming to the topic. Let me summarize the lessons learnt:
1. Always search for the things in the local market before going to show off shopping malls. The difference between the local market and the malls are only price tag and the outer package. Oops, forgot to mention about the AC.
2. Use reasonable bargain to avoid the usage of dirty tricks by shop keepers (like in my case).
3. Choose the items before bargaining, rather than the opposite. If you does the opposite, you are giving time for his tricks.
4. Check the package twice for the chosen items.
5. There is always an advantage knowing other languages (In my case, I don’t know Hindi. I felt very difficult to bargain with him. I m seriously gonna start learning Hindi. Any suggestions for quick methods are welcomed).
Dear Friends and Visitors,
Thanks for time and effort you took for coming up to this page. This is my first blog post. I started this blog four months before. Until minutes before it was without a single post. First I thought of penning down my first blog on Diwali but I can’t because of celebrations in home. And the date shifted to Christmas, then to New Year. But can’t able to do coz, I was in Kolkata for both these festivals. Even Seconds before, I thought of postponing it to My Birthday (05/05). And saw this cliche ”Never put off until tomorrow what you can do today” when I was browsing. So, that induced me to write my first post today itself. Co-incidentally, today is also a festival, called “Mattu Pongal”.
I have to tell why I decided to start a blog. Whenever I want a solution for my problems in my Circuit Design or Software Code, some technical blogs and forums quite helped me a lot more than the tutorial and helps given by Tool Providers. So I decided to contribute my views and experiences, hoping, it may help others. It doesn’t mean that I will only post technical contents. This is just the reason for starting.
Enough of blah blahs. Let me get in to action. Again, you may have read in home page, an important thing, I am not an expert writer or blogger, so errors are obvious. Please notify if found one. Hope you enjoy your visit.
